Why Mental Health Awareness Matters...
-
1 in 5 adults in the United States experiences mental illness each year.
-
More than 50% of mental health conditions begin before age 14.
-
Suicide remains one of the leading causes of death among young people ages 10–24.
-
Student-athletes often experience anxiety, depression, stress, identity pressure, and performance-related mental health challenges at higher levels than many peers.
-
Many young people still avoid seeking help due to stigma, fear, or lack of support systems.
